Whatever corner you found
On the planet we're on
You always found what's wrong
With the cities we're from
Never looking past the shadows
Of these marble eyes
You're not seeing the way I'm always split in two
Never knowing what to do
I remember the way I felt back then
Now you've left an atmosphere to fill with stars I'll never map out
These eyes can only see so far
I've grown tired of staring into an abyss of the sparkles of dead stars
These stars upon which we gaze
Hide the windows to the souls of two weeping faces
You'd show me another scar and we'd cry until our eyes went darker than the midnight sky and heavier than the mass it holds. Your hospital stays left a hole in me even greater. I don't regret those nights we kept each other awake, distracting you from the self-destruction that devoured your every thought. They made me who I am.
Stardust falls like tears of Castor and Pollux
Hydrogen, helium, won't grant those wishes for you
